Meet Gabriel
y name is Gabriel Olmedo, founder of CDMX Memories. I was born and raised surrounded by the vibrant atmosphere of La Merced Market, one of the oldest and most iconic traditional markets in Latin America. My father owns three taco stands inside the market, and from a very young age, I worked alongside him.

They are living communities. Every aisle tells a story. Every vendor has a family. Every recipe carries generations of tradition.
Growing up there completely changed the way I see tourism. I realized that what makes Mexico City unforgettable isn't only its monuments or museums — it's the people, the conversations, the food, and the traditions that visitors rarely experience on their own.
Although I studied Electrical Engineering, my passion for gastronomy and cultural heritage never disappeared. I later studied gastronomy and became a certified tour guide, combining my technical background with my love for sharing Mexico's culture.
"Eventually I realized that my true purpose wasn't behind a desk. It was here... Walking through the streets where I grew up, introducing travelers to the people who inspired me."
