Mexico City is becoming increasingly bike-friendly. With miles of dedicated bike lanes and beautiful avenues lined with trees, exploring CDMX on two wheels offers a unique perspective of this vibrant metropolis.

Where to Ride: The Best Routes

Paseo de la Reforma is arguably the most beautiful avenue in the city. If you visit on a Sunday, you can participate in 'Muévete en Bici', when the avenue is closed to cars from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, creating a massive, festive bike path.

Neighborhoods like Roma and Condesa are perfect for leisurely rides. Their flat terrain, tree-lined streets, and abundant cafes make them ideal for exploring by bike. Chapultepec Park, twice the size of Central Park, is another must-visit destination with extensive paths winding through forests and past museums.

Bike Rental Options in CDMX

Getting a bike is easy. EcoBici, the city's public bike-share program, is affordable and convenient. You can register for short-term passes (1, 3, or 7 days) via their app. Alternatively, numerous private rental shops in Condesa and Roma offer cruisers, mountain bikes, and e-bikes.
